Volleyball Recap: Tatum Find Success

Tatum posted their closest victory since September 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Kermit Yellow Jackets, sneaking past 3-2.

Tatum had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 15-25, 25-17, 25-19, 15-11.

Avery Henard paced Tatum's offense, picking up 14 kills. Henard got some help from Sydni Rice and her 20 assists. Allison Dixon controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Tatum's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Kermit, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-20.

Looking ahead, Tatum will be playing at home against Texico at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kermit, they are taking a road trip to square off against Tornillo at 12:05 p.m. on Saturday.
