Point Pleasant hadn't done well against Sissonville recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Big Blacks skirted past the Indians 7-5. For the Big Blacks, this counts as revenge for the 9-7 victory the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Chloe Patrick, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Mazey Thomas was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Point Pleasant has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Sissonville, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Point Pleasant will take on Wayne at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sissonville, they will host Lincoln County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
