If Sandia was riding high fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Manzano last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Matadors took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Albuquerque Bulldogs on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for Sandia in their meetings with Albuquerque: they've now lost three in a row.

Chloe Brown and Audrey Brandt-Barboa scored both of Sandia's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Sandia's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Albuquerque, the win got them back to even at 3-3-1.

Looking ahead, Sandia will challenge Volcano Vista at 6:30 p.m. on the 18th. As for Albuquerque, they have already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Centennial on the 13th.
