Softball Game Preview: Phillips Bears vs. Vina Red Devils

For the second straight game, Phillips will face off against Vina. The Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Red Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Phillips is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Phillips lost 9-2 to Vina on Tuesday.

For Vina's part, Kenzie Elrod was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Braxtyn Quinn, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Vina was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Vina's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-17. As for Phillips, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-18.
