Recap: Cooter Wildcats vs. Crowley's Ridge Academy Falcons
The Cooter Wildcats entered their tilt with the Crowley's Ridge Academy Falcons with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Cooter enjoyed a cozy 71-57 win over Crowley's Ridge Academy on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Cooter got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Strickland out in front who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. Strickland is absolutely dominating the assist category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Ryce Lynn was another key contributor, going 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 0 assists.
Cooter's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Crowley's Ridge Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cooter will take on Northeast Arkansas Christian Home Educators at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northeast Arkansas Christian Home Educators comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Crowley's Ridge Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marked Tree at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
