Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vicksburg). They blew past the Ridgeland Titans 18-8 on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Gators with their most commanding win of the season.

Vicksburg pushed their record up to 4-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Ridgeland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Vicksburg will face off against rival Warren Central at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ridgeland is set to take on their familiar foe Columbus at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
