Soccer Recap: Ponca City Comes Up Short

Ponca City came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Union Redhawks, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, Ponca City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Union are ranked 30th).

Ponca City's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Union, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Ponca City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Union, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Sapulpa on the 28th.
