Softball Preview: New Haven Bulldogs vs. Norwell Knights        
        
		
            
 The New Haven Bulldogs will head out on the road to  challenge  the Norwell Knights at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. The  squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: New Haven has struggled recently with 11 losses in a row, while Norwell will arrive with three straight  victories.
 New Haven's hitters might be in the hot seat  on Friday considering what happened against Columbia City  on Wednesday. They lost  9-0 to the Eagles.
 New Haven saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Andrea Davila, who  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base.

 Norwell also got a great performance from  Kayla Watkins as she  didn't allow a single  earned run over 5.2 innings pitched. Watkins has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Kaydence Clark, who  went 2-for-3 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 New Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Norwell, they now  have a winning record of 5-4.
 New Haven suffered a grim  14-7 defeat to Norwell  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023. Can New Haven avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
