Troy posted their closest win since December 7, 2024 on Saturday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 41-40 victory over the Jarrell Cougars. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 67-55 win the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2020.

Troy's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Jarrell, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Troy will square off against Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Jarrell, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against C.H. Yoe at 6:00 p.m. The Cougars are facing the Yoemen at the right time seeing as the Yoemen are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
