Baseball Recap: Vanoss Wolves vs. Sayre Eagles
Sayre typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Vanoss proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Eagles 5-3. The win was some much needed relief for the Wolves as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Cole Reeder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
