Last Thursday, AZ Compass Prep National was able to grind out a solid win over Maricopa Institute of Technology, taking the game 6-3.

The team relied heavily on Sebastian Quiroz, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Alta Vista, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They blew past Imagine Prep Coolidge 20-3 on Monday. The Lobos' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Alta Vista picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for AZ Compass Prep National, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

AZ Compass Prep National took their win against Alta Vista in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 17-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dragons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
