Baseball Game Preview: Fletcher Senators vs. Tate Aggies

For the second straight game, Fletcher will face off against Tate. The Senators will face off against the Aggies at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fletcher's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Tate's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Fletcher is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Tate get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The Senators not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14th (when they won 12-2).

Nick Oliviera made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jakeb McDougall, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Kolby Batten was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Fletcher lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Tate's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Fletcher, their record now sits at 16-9-1.
