Volleyball Recap: Trego Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Trego and Osborne, and Osborne kept the tradition alive. The Golden Eagles fell 2-0 to the Bulldogs on Saturday. The Golden Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

While Trego had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19.

Bailey Ziegler paced Trego's offense, picking up nine kills. Ziegler were helped by Cambrey Klitzke and Maura Albers, who contributed five assists each. Tegan Lang controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Trego dropped their record down to 8-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Osborne, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Trego didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Logan/Palco on the 20th. As for Osborne, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Wheatland-Grinnell on the 20th.
