Basketball Game Preview: New Oxford Colonials vs. Bishop McDevitt Crusaders

The New Oxford Colonials will venture away from home to challenge the Bishop McDevitt Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, New Oxford strolled past Littlestown with points to spare, taking the game 53-37. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colonials.

Meanwhile, Bishop McDevitt posted their closest victory since December 22, 2023 on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against James Buchanan, sneaking past 65-63. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Rockets are ranked 570th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

New Oxford pushed their record up to 12-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points over those games. As for Bishop McDevitt, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
