Softball Recap: Strath Haven Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Strath Haven finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They lost 16-0 to the Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers. The game marked the first time this season in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Strath Haven moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Marple Newtown, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Strath Haven Panthers challenge Garnet Valley Jaguars at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Garnet Valley will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Marple Newtown, they will face off against Lower Merion at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Aces have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.9 runs per game on average), something the Fightin' Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
