Oswego East came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Plainfield East Bengals 68-28. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 171st, while the Bengals are ranked 503rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oswego East has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for Plainfield East, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-15.
