Basketball Recap: Elk Point-Jefferson Victorious

Elk Point-Jefferson's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They escaped with a win against the Akron-Westfield Westerners by the margin of a single free throw, 58-57. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Huskies considering their 25-point performance the contest before.

Elk Point-Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Akron-Westfield, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
