Baseball Recap: Smithton Takes a Loss

Smithton was the 9-6 winner over Windsor when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers came up short against the Greyhounds on Monday, falling 12-2. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Smithton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Pond, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Pond is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played. Another was Kaden Asbury, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

Smithton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Smithton has already played their next game, a 9-1 loss against Otterville on the 22nd. Windsor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
