Soccer Game Preview: Cabrillo vs. St. Joseph

The Cabrillo Conquistadores will take on the St. Joseph Knights at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cabrillo's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They beat Lompoc by a goal, winning 1-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Cabrillo.

St. Joseph hadn't beaten Lompoc on the road since December 15, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Knights walked away with a 3-1 win over the Braves. Three seems to be a good number for St. Joseph as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Cabrillo's win bumped their record up to 4-11-1. As for St. Joseph, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-3.

Cabrillo might still be hurting after the 5-0 loss they got from St. Joseph in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can the Conquistadores avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
