Soccer Recap: Westlake Takes a Loss

Westlake's game on Wednesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Bowie Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Chaparrals' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Westlake's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-4-2. As for Bowie, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Westlake will host Lake Travis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Travis will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Westlake surely won't give up without a fight. Bowie has already played their next game (against Akins), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
