Softball Recap: Forsyth Takes a Loss

Forsyth fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Clever on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Blue Jays by a score of 6-5. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Jays earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Lauren Turner spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Lili Roberts was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run and two runs. Riley Holmberg was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Forsyth's loss dropped their record down to 13-17. As for Clever, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-7.

As of now, neither Forsyth nor the Blue Jays have any future games scheduled.
