Softball Recap: Homestead Has No Trouble Against Coral Park

Homestead won the last time they faced Coral Park and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Broncos were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Rams. Considering the Broncos have won three games by more than 14 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Audrina Thomason made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Thomason was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4.

In other batting news, Homestead got a massive performance out of Alondra Pena, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Anahi Davalos, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4.

Homestead was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .694. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in eight consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Homestead's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Coral Park, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Looking ahead, Homestead is taking a road trip to challenge TERRA Environmental at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Coral Park, they will host Braddock at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
