Volleyball Recap: Santiago Takes a Loss

If Santiago was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Estancia last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Santiago fell just short of the Century Centurions by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Centurions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on March 6th.

Santiago took Century into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0, 0-25, 0-25, 15-13.

Santiago's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Century, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Santiago is set to take on their familiar foe Magnolia at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Century will square off against rival Estancia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
