Basketball Game Preview: Charles Page Sandites vs. Broken Arrow Tigers

The Charles Page Sandites will challenge the Broken Arrow Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Broken Arrow is hoping to do what Harding Fine Arts couldn't on Wednesday: put an end to Charles Page's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Charles Page claimed a resounding 77-25 win over Harding Fine Arts. Given the Sandites' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Harding Fine Arts are ranked 139th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Deke Thompson was his usual excellent self, going 7 of 12 on his way to 22 points and four steals. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khalil Allen, who went 6 of 8 en route to 13 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Broken Arrow, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They breezed by Bartlesville to the tune of 72-19 on Tuesday.

Broken Arrow's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for Charles Page, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.

Charles Page lost to Broken Arrow at home by a decisive 52-33 margin in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Charles Page avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
