Soccer Recap: Aurora Takes a Loss

Aurora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the York Dukes. Aurora were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as York apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Aurora's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for York, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Aurora is set to face off against their familiar foe Holdrege on Thursday. Meanwhile, York will square off against rival Crete at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for York: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Crete have snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
