Basketball Recap: Glenville Tarblooders vs. Mentor Cardinals
Glenville has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 76-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mentor Cardinals on Saturday. Loss or not, Glenville got some senior leadership from Braylyn Irby and Xavier Vickerstaff. Irby posted 20 points and six rebounds, while Vickerstaff dropped a double-double with 18 points and 14 boards. Vickerstaff's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Theo Castro was another key player, putting up two points.
Kobe Frasure-Azzano continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mentor, dropping a double-double with 20 points and ten boards. The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Glenville will welcome Lincoln West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
