Baseball Recap: Volunteer Triumphs

While Volunteer's victory against Unaka wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Falcons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Rangers on Tuesday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Cooper Fraysier was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brock Mowell, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Volunteer's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-11. As for Unaka, they dropped their record down to 4-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Volunteer will venture away from home to challenge Greeneville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Unaka, they will head out to take on Tri-Cities Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
