Football Recap: Taylor Clay's Menacing Defense Leads Lane Tech over Phillips

Lane Tech owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They came out on top against the Phillips Wildcats by a score of 13-0. The Champions were shut out 16-0 the last time they took on the Wildcats, so the Champions were just returning the favor.

Lane Tech didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Taylor Clay led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. That interception marked the first that Gabriel Xerogianes White has snagged this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Lane Tech and bumps their season record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 points in those games. As for Phillips, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
