Softball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty came into this matchup off a tough 18-run defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Lake View Chiefs/Maidens by a score of 12-10 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Patriots have suffered since March 19, 2024.

Liberty has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-21 record this season. As for Lake View, they now have a winning record of 13-12-1.

Looking ahead, Liberty will be playing in front of their home fans against Levelland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake View, they will head out to take on Big Spring at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Steers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.1 runs per game on average), something the Chiefs/Maidens will no doubt try to take advantage of.
