Volleyball Recap: Chaminade-Madonna Comes Up Short

If Chaminade-Madonna was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Pembroke Pines Charter on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions came up short against the West Broward Bobcats on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bobcats from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

While Chaminade-Madonna was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into West Broward's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 25-18.

Loss or not, Chaminade-Madonna got some senior leadership from Keylanis Cruz and Ava Garcia. Cruz had six digs and three aces, while Garcia had seven digs and three aces.

Chaminade-Madonna's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for West Broward, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

Chaminade-Madonna has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Fort Lauderdale on the 27th. As for West Broward, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Everglades on the 27th.
