Basketball Recap: Guadalupe Centers Comes Up Short

Guadalupe Centers lost against Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Guadalupe Centers Aztecs were outmatched by the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy Rams and fell 61-13. The Aztecs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Gabby Sosland, who went 9 for 21 on her way to 19 points along with six rebounds and six steals for Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy. With that strong performance, Sosland is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Another player making a difference was Naama Reem, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points in addition to six boards and six steals.

Guadalupe Centers' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Guadalupe Centers will challenge Miami at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. Pius X at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy's defense has only allowed 26.5 points per game this season, so St. Pius X's offense will have their work cut out for them.
