Softball Recap: Centennial Patriots vs. Rocky Mountain Grizzlies
Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. Their rough 24-7 defeat to the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies might stick with them for a while. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Centennial of the 13-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.
Carly Reyes Mims made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmine Rodrigues, who went 1-for-3 with a home run.
On Rocky Mountain's side, Dani Quinn made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (she also didn't allow any walks). Quinn was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-6.
In other batting news, Rocky Mountain let Savannah Henzler and Liv Hurst loose on the outfield.
