Basketball Game Preview: Raymond Central Mustangs vs. Centennial Broncos

Raymond Central is 0-9 against Centennial since January of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. Both will face off at 4:00 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Raymond Central is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They took a 63-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arlington. The Mustangs were down 51-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Centennial entered their game against Sutton on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Centennial received a blow as they fell 59-45 to Sutton. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Mustangs are ranked 20th).

Raymond Central will have to contain Devin Slawnyk as he made an impact in Centennial's last game. He posted 18 points. Camden Winkelman was another key player, putting up ten points.

Raymond Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Centennial, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.
