Volleyball Recap: Alamosa Mean Moose vs. Montezuma-Cortez Panthers        
        
		
             Alamosa waltzed into their match  on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Mean Moose, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17,  25-12.
 Leading Alamosa to victory were  Arreli Felix and  Aubrey Rothermich.  Felix  had four  aces, while  Rothermich  hit 66.7% for 17  killsten  aces and six  digs. The last time  Rothermich's  hitting percentage was this high was  back in October of 2023.
 Alamosa pushed their record up to 11-2 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  at home. As for Montezuma-Cortez,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-11.
 Alamosa will welcome Pagosa Springs  at 3:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Montezuma-Cortez, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  3-0  loss vs. Centauri on the 28th.
