Sabree Shelton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

In other batting news, Mika Reagor and Na'Tasia Cherry did most of the damage at the plate: Reagor went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double, while Cherry scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-2. Cherry is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Genesis Diaz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Lincoln always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .577. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .516 or higher in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Conrad). They put the hurt on Kimball with a sharp 29-2 win on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Chargers with their most commanding win of the season.

Lincoln's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.5 runs over those games. As for Conrad, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

Lincoln skirted past Conrad 8-7 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
