Softball Game Preview: Woods Cross Wildcats vs. Northridge Knights

Woods Cross hasn't had much luck against Northridge recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Woods Cross will face off against Northridge at 3:30 p.m. Woods Cross has given up an average of 10.4 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Woods Cross is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Viewmont, falling 15-8.

Savannah Juggert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Northridge was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 13-0 to Box Elder. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Northridge now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Woods Cross, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Woods Cross suffered a grim 17-2 defeat to Northridge in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can Woods Cross avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
