Volleyball Recap: Avon Takes a Loss

Avon lost against Noblesville on April 3rd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Orioles fell 2-0 to the Millers.

James Butler paced Avon's offense, picking up four kills. Butler got some help from Cameron James and his four assists. Finally, Clay Critser kept Avon's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Avon has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Noblesville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Coincidentally, Avon and Noblesville will both be playing Munster the next time they take the court. The Millers will head out to face the Mustangs at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Orioles will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
