Football Recap: Linden-Mckinley Starts off Right with Win over Bexley

Linden-McKinley gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bexley Lions 8-6.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Linden-McKinley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Davell Brock, who rushed for 97 yards on only 11 carries, and also threw for 86 yards and one TD. The Panthers also got a significant boost from Chris Caldwell, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 111 yards.

Despite the loss, Bexley still got an impressive performance from Declan Feldmann, who rushed for 106 yards and one touchdown.

Coming up, Linden-McKinley is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bexley, they will welcome Worthington Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
