Volleyball Recap: West Comes Up Short

West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Emporia Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-1. As for Emporia, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Looking ahead, West will venture away from home to square off against Piper on Tuesday. As for Emporia, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against South on the 18th.
