The Liberty Bison are taking a road trip to face off against the Valley View Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Valley View will be up against a hot Liberty squad: the team just extended their winning streak to eight. The Bison blew past Orange Vista 11-5 on Thursday.
Janessa Guigliano looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Emma Campos was a standout: she scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jennessy Lopez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Liberty was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 11 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Valley View got themselves on the board against Colony on Friday, but Colony never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Titans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
Not much got past Bella Hernandez, who gave up just five hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Colony off the board.
At the plate, Alyssa Torres and Miranda Maese did most of the damage at the plate: Torres fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4, while Maese went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Maddie Barrios was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Liberty pushed their record up to 13-7 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Valley View, their record is now 16-3.
Both Liberty and Valley View just can't seem to miss. The Bison have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. However, it's not like Valley View struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Liberty suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Valley View in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Can the Bison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
