Volleyball Recap: Mount Horeb Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mount Horeb waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the McFarland Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Mount Horeb was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-11, 22-25, 25-20, 15-11.

Mount Horeb's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trinity Alexander led the charge by getting 20 assists and seven digs. Those seven digs gave Alexander a new career-high.

Mount Horeb was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Mount Horeb's record is now 5-1. As for McFarland, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
