Volleyball Recap: Richard Comes Up Short

Richard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Trenton Trojans.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18.

Allison Guyette paced Richard's offense, picking up six kills. Guyette really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. Finally, Maggie McMullen kept Richard's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Richard's loss dropped their record down to 3-18-2. As for Trenton, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-9-3 record this season.

Richard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Our Lady of the Lakes on the 29th. Trenton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
