Volleyball Recap: Reagan Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

There's no place like home for Reagan, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on the True North Classical Academy Titans with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The Bison were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Titans, so the Bison were just returning the favor.

Reagan never let True North Classical Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 29-27.

Reagan was led to victory by Santiago Mejia and Yeison Gonzalez. Mejia had 14 digs and one assist, while Gonzalez had 15 kills, eight digs, and three aces. Gonzalez is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least seven every time he's taken the court this season.

Reagan pushed their record up to 16-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for True North Classical Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-10.

Coming up, Reagan will welcome Hialeah at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for True North Classical Academy, they will head out to face off against King's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
