Baseball Game Preview: Red Level Tigers vs. Elba Tigers

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Elba will need to watch out since Red Level has now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.

Elba's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Red Level hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. Red Level's pitcher stepped up to hand Elba a 14-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Red Level, who have now won seven matches by 12 runs or more so far this season.

Connor Blackwell was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Jernigan, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Red Level always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .533 or higher in three consecutive games.

Red Level pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Elba, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
