Softball Recap: St. James Extends Winning Streak to Four

St. James had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They beat the Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-2 on Saturday.

St. James' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Mt. Hermon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. James will venture away from home to challenge Lutcher at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mt. Hermon, they will square off against Family Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
