Soccer Game Preview: Parkview Baptist vs. St. Michael

For the first time this season, Parkview Baptist will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against the St. Michael Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

St. Michael will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Parkview Baptist extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Eagles' defense stepped up to hand Livingston Collegiate Academy a 1-0 shutout. Anson Leroux had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Parkview Baptist.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for St. Michael's offense. They came up short against Archbishop Rummel on Thursday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, St. Michael can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Archbishop Rummel are ranked 19th).

St. Michael's defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 6-7-3. As for Parkview Baptist, their win bumped their record up to 8-3-2.
