Basketball Recap: Covenant Christian Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Providence Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Covenant Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Providence Academy Lions 47-26.

Kaitlyn Knaub was her usual excellent self, putting up 27 points and seven rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Covenant Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Hurlburt, who posted ten points and five boards.

Despite the defeat, Providence Academy had strong showings from Piper McIlrath, who put up ten points, and Reygan Moody, who earned six points. The dominant performance also gave Moody a new career-high in shooting accuracy (67%).

Covenant Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season. As for Providence Academy, the loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 18-3.
