Softball Recap: Gilbert Comes Up Short

Gilbert came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the North Polk Comets, falling 10-2. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Gilbert's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for North Polk, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Comets beat Gilbert by a score of 12-4 later that day.
