Recap: Austin Maroons vs. Johnson Jaguars
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bowie, the Austin Maroons were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 52-38 win over Johnson. That's another feather in the cap for Austin, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Kemah Shaw continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Foley Anderson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Austin has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-18 record this season. As for Johnson, they now have a losing record at 13-14.
Austin will be playing at home against Akins at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Akins is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Johnson, they will head out on the road to face off against Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bowie will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
