Preview: San Fernando Tigers vs. Panorama Pythons
San Fernando has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Panorama Pythons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
San Fernando struggled with threes on Monday (Sylmar had five more) and sadly the final score reflected it. San Fernando was dealt a 87-38 defeat at the hands of Sylmar. San Fernando was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-21.
Despite the defeat, San Fernando saw an underclassman step up: Gavin Reyes scored 19 points. Reyes also scored 15+ points for the first time this season. Victor Marin was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 74-36, which was the final score in Panorama's tilt against Sylmar on Friday. Panorama has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Eduardo Munguia put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alan Rodriguez , who scored six points.
San Fernando's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-8. As for Panorama, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Everything went San Fernando's way against Panorama when the teams last played back in January as San Fernando made off with a 58-35 victory. Will San Fernando repeat their success, or does Panorama have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
